What should I expect?
Each day will have three sessions made up of teaching, creative exercises and group discussion. You will have the opportunity to meet other teams and share best practice. A light lunch will be provided as well as tea and coffee on site.
We will cover the basic principles for growing youth ministry, but there is no blueprint for growth as each church context is unique. We encourage you to meet in-between the two training days to continue working on your plan for growth.
After the course you will be invited to three follow-up sessions at three, six, and nine months to help you implement sustainable long-term youth ministry in your context.
What is LyCiG Youth?
Leading your Church into Growth: Youth is a two-day course for local churches looking to grow their youth ministry. Whether you are looking to grow existing youth ministry or start something new, this course will equip you with an achievable plan for working with young people in your context.
Who is it for?
This course is for church leaders (e.g. clergy, church wardens, youth leaders) who want to prioritise youth ministry for the whole church. The training is not just for those who work directly with youth but for your church team as a whole to prioritise youth ministry and make a strategic plan for growth.
When and where is it?
The course will take place over two Saturdays, from 10am – 4pm, June 13th and July 11th, at Brunswick Parish Church, Brunswick Street, Manchester M13 9SX.
There is a small car park on site, free local parking, and multiple local car parks a short walk away. The church is a 17-minute walk from Piccadilly Railway Station, or you can catch the 192/201/203/205 bus from the train station.
From Manchester Victoria station you can either connect to Picadilly, or catch the 2 Free Bus and the 192, the 135 and the 192, or the 41 and a ten-minute walk.
How much does it cost?
A single ticket is £70 which covers two days of training with lunch provided, three follow-up sessions with us, and a handbook with resources for your youth ministry.
We are also offering a reduced ticket of £180 for a team of three (saving your church £30). The cost reduction is for the first three team members but there is no limit to who you can bring, just add any additional team as single tickets.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, the venue is fully accessible.
