Many of our churches are brilliant in their ministry to younger children. But, and it is a big but, there is a huge and widespread leakage of older children and teenagers. It is as if the Pied Piper of secularism, football, dance class and shallow atheism is ravaging out churches and, even worse, our families.

Leading your young people’s work into growth

We want to set a light to a new fire of passion and growth. To ignite a whole new beginning of learning and strategizing, prayer and doing. Rather than decline and leakage, we want to help churches to see long lasting and growing spiritual life amongst their children and teenagers.

Ignite has already been working for nearly 3 years in one diocese and the big issues are clearly emerging...

• Evangelism
• Discipleship and nurture
• Strong group life
• Churches working together
• More and better equipped leaders

Our plan is:

• Set up a team of youth work missioners as part of our overall national team
• Create resources
• Run events and training programmes
• Employ a full or part time team leader
• Work with other Christian youth organisations
• We need your help

To do this work LyCiG needs an additional annual income flow of £20,000. If we get more we can do more. If 130 people commit to giving us £10 a month and if most of this is covenanted (so that we gain a tax credit) then we can do it.
