Our diocesan conferences can happen over two or three days. At each course parish groups discuss teaching from the front, contextualise it for their parish, and inspire one another to put it into practice.
Our conferences are designed to inspire and equip leaders to grow their church in numbers, in spiritual commitment and in service to their local community. They are successful across the mixed ecology of the Church of England: they are for all kinds of churches in all kinds of contexts.
Our Diocesan programme has been created so your diocese can integrate LyCiG principles into your unique vision and culture. It is designed to enable you to involve parishes across the entire diocese while responding flexibly to their varied contexts and the diverse ministry of their leaders.
The seven sessions include teaching about praying for growth, creating an appetite for growth, creating a plan for growth, as well as teaching on discipleship pathways, evangelism and worship.
Leading your Church into Growth isn't just a one-off impactful event, but also a transformative process that changes culture. Recent research has shown that parishes which have sent their church leaders on a LyCiG course typically grow their worshipping community by 10% pa above the national average and their under-18s by 18% pa.
Our follow-on sessions are designed to help teams continue to cultivate hope and prayer in their parish and embed their learning across their unique context. Our sessions are best run in partnership with local coaching and support, but they can also be offered as a stand-alone programme. We also offer free access to our LyCiG Local course which leaders can use to inspire and equip more members of their local church.
