What is your full name?
Susan Marilyn Cooke - I am only ever called Susan by my Dad or when of my friends, I MUCH prefer Sue! Marilyn was my Mum’s name - I am not named after a famous star….

What do you do as your day job? ⁠
I am a Vicar of a fabulous church called All Saints in West Ewell - they are loving, courageous, daring and hugely encouraging!

Describe a key life moment where your faith became more real:⁠
In my mid 20s after messing about with faith, religion and church for several years, I realised that the key was relationship with Jesus and not rules and condemnation. That was so freeing and joy giving.

What major event has happened for you this year? ⁠
I have just adopted a rescue puppy from Romania!!

What do you love to do in your spare time? ⁠
I love to cook - Ottolenghi is my current food hero and I am enjoying trying his recipes. I also love to bake and have a great outlet for my creations in our church community cafe. Definite hits are danish pasties, Eccles cakes and caramel crumble cake.

Which animal best describes you and why?
Dragon?? I was born in the Chinese year of the dragon (not that I believe in these things) and I could be cheesy and say I am always on fire for God….. but I can be a bit fiery and larger than life!
